Toy soldiers have stood the test of time and the green army men are still the preferred lot for any battle. Almost every kid has grown up playing these. Based on the national defense force, playing with plastic soldiers was not just about entertainment or time pass. Toy army men was a way of life for many as the kids got an idea of how the real life situation will be and it helps them to get a broad idea of what the Army warfare really are. It was in many ways the best real-life adventure they could have at their age. Toy Army men are readily available and come cheap. They are available in green, grey and other colors, so as to form two opposing sides.
The green army men are made of rubber or plastic and the companies manufacturing them are trying to improve the quality constantly. These are mostly clad in military uniforms with World War weapons in hand. The array of weapons includes snipers, machine guns, grenades and the like. It is such weapons that draw the young blood towards this war play. But it is chiefly, this reason that critics term this as a dangerous game for kids to play. However, the popularity of the Toy army men continues unabated.
Playing toy army men is very engrossing game. The play coupled with sound effects, tactics, scheming and strategies gives a feel of a real-life encounter but that is available with specific models only. Playing green army men, kids do get motivated to join the army. Moreover, toy soldiers were one of the characters in Toy Story movie. It is widely accepted as a safe game for the kids with nothing much negative said about it. And with usage of RTV rubber there is no poisonous lead content in it too.
